The First Was A Bushing Press While The Second Was A Leak Tester For The Assembled Part

Business, Business Services.

Leak testing: keep it lean - "what do you mean we also have to leak test it? " this is a rant commonly heard in the manufacturing industry because leak testing is so frequently regarded as a necessary evil and a non - value - added service. Sure, we' ve proven its integrity, but there have been no additional pieces added or assembly performed, nothing to increase the value of the part as it moves through the machine. Non - value added means that the part undergoes leak testing in one state, and then exits the machine in the same state.

With a little creativity and forethought though, this doesn' t necessarily have to be the case. - we' ve tested everything from small components that would fit in the palm of your hand using low pressure pneumatic testing at 7 psi to structural castings utilizing hydraulic leak testing at 2000 psi. Our company has been performing leak testing on a variety of materials for years, and has a proven track record of success. We' ve additionally done chamber testing for more complex parts. Well, a customer of ours recently approached us to discuss building a pair of machines for him. This is all fine and well but what about the added value? The first was a bushing press while the second was a leak tester for the assembled part.

In this case, it just so happened that the motion of pressing the bushings into this particular part was the same motion needed for the sealing plate of a leak tester. - by looking beyond just the specific function and truly looking at the customer' s needs, we were able to design one machine that was capable of performing both functions. Our engineers were able to design a machine that would get twice the work out of the same motion. As you think about perhaps balancing your lines or combining machine functions with leak testing, keep in mind that the most promising applications are those in which the motion of pressing, clamping or assembly would be similar to the sealing motion required for leak testing. Certainly, this part lent itself well to this lean leak testing process, and the fact is that not every part does. In this case, the lean approach worked and reduced labor content, and investment for, floor space our customer. No, unfortunately not.

Can your machine builder always do this? - but as a customer, you can always ask how you can get more for your money, and if your solutions provider is thinking lean, they can often find a way.

A One - Sided Telephone Lecture Becomes, A Shared Meeting, Instead

Business, Business Services.

Meeting and conference room technology - it' s funny how meeting rooms are some of the last places you' ll find technology in the office. And, every executive, yes - level employee in the company will have a Blackberry, quick little laptop, a slick, and an office with satellite tv.

Sure, you' ll find the latest technology in the offices themselves. - but, the boardroom is, in most companies a technology - free island. But meeting rooms are changing as technology moves forward... and no area of business will be left behind. Most conference rooms consist of a table, overhead lights, some chairs, and maybe a whiteboard. How many meetings have you attended where there was a scrabbling for the lights at the beginning and end of a presentation? A room control system will let you control most of the electronic equipment in the conference room from a single centralized location. One new addition to the meeting room technology market is interactive room - control systems.

A room control system ends all that scrabbling to switch on the lights, complaints that the thermostat needs to be turned down, and questions about who is closest to the projector( and who knows where the button is to turn it on) . - this is especially convenient for those that tend to spend a lot of time presiding over meetings. Another more basic addition to technology in meeting rooms is a dedicated computer. Instead of having to unplug and haul a laptop into the conference room( or, worse, calling the tech people to set one up in there for you) , all you need to do is bring a CD of your presentation, or access the presentation via the web. With the price of travel ever - increasing, video conferencing is becoming more and more important, especially in larger companies with nationwide( or world - wide) offices. This makes setting up for meetings quick and painless, and also helps with video conferencing, as everything is already in its place.

While the old - fashioned teleconference still has its place in a meeting, and probably always will, the ability to see and speak naturally to your coworkers or clients can be invaluable. - a one - sided telephone lecture becomes, a shared meeting, instead. When you can meet a person' s eyes and read their body language, communication is quicker and more consistent. This is easy to accomplish with a good{ video conferencing} system. Another standard in audio visual systems for meeting rooms is a digital projector. With decent bandwidth and a quality internet connection, video conferencing is just as simple as a telephone call, especially if the meeting room is equipped with its own computer.

For those that tend to use PowerPoint presentations as a meeting tool, a projector is an absolute necessity. - while digital projectors used to be prohibitively expensive, especially for smaller companies, their price is falling as technology improves, making them an easily obtainable addition to the meeting audio visual system of any company. A digital projector will display any computer application onto a board or white screen( or even a light - colored wall) , helping you to share information, even digital films, presentations or satellite tv. After a digital projector, the next step in meeting room technology is the electronic whiteboard. But it has limitations which really show when compared to some of the technology available today. The standard dry erase board has been a meeting room standard for years. For one, everything written on a dry erase board is temporary, and must be erased in order to leave room to write more.

But this old - fashioned practice is a thing of the past. - this means that, if the discussion notes will have to be referred to later, somebody will have to be assigned to take notes off the board. Electronic whiteboards eliminate the need to take notes by hand, as all that is written on their surface can be printed( as with Copyboards) , saved as digital information( as with Peripheral boards) , or even be sorted, and interacted with, grouped( Interactive Whiteboards) . A plasma display panel is basically a huge, flat, but much slimmer - screen television or computer monitor. A new version of the electronic white board is the PDP, or Plasma Display Panel. PDPs are generally 42" to 50" , and have a very clear, making them great, bright screen for video conferencing.

This is a relatively small investment when compared to the price of the PDP and when considering the many practical uses of a PDP with an interactive overlay. - since pdps are a relatively new addition to the audio visual systems market, they' re also very expensive, ranging from about$ 8, 000 to$ 20, 00for around$ 4, 000 more, companies can invest in an interactive overlay for the pdp. An interactive overlay will add touch sensibility and annotation abilities, allowing you to use your PDP just like an interactive whiteboard. Do you often hold important meetings with associates across the country? In the end, knowing what kind of meeting room technology you need for your company is just a matter of surveying your needs. Do you find that most of the notes taken at meetings are incomplete or incoherent, or you don' t have anyone to take them?

It' s just as easy to have too much technology in the conference room as it is to have too little, so be sure not to spend more than you need. - then some of the options discussed here may be for you. The technology you choose should make meetings run more smoothly, not slow them down while attendees spend all their time figuring out how to use these new tools.

Composite Moulded Products Can Be Manufactured For Use In Most Industry Sectors, Construction, Such As, Leisure, Aerospace, Marine, Automotive, And Many More, Defence

Business, Business Services.

Composite moulding - composite moulding is a process which enables the manufacture of a specifically designed product from a composite material, one such composite material is glass reinforced plastic, also known as fibreglass. Composite moulded products can be manufactured to meet most requirements and specifications, further - more, these components can be produced to any size, shape or colour required, in some cases peripheral components can be incorporated into the moulding process, such as threaded inserts ect, these can be bonded into the product to provide a fixing solution, or metal work can be incorporated into the moulding to provide a mount for internal components such as electronics ect, During this innovative process, additional reinforcements can be incorporated into specific areas which will be under load or receive additional stresses. Composite moulded products can be manufactured for use in most industry sectors, Construction, such as, Leisure, Aerospace, Marine, Automotive, And many more, Defence.

This is done during the laminating process, when additional layers of reinforcement can be applied into the required areas, or structural sub - mouldings can be bonded in, composite moulded components, in short can be tailored to meet any requirement, but lets talk about the process that makes it all possible, Composite Moulding. - the manufacture of the mould requires a certain amount of skill and understanding, its this experience that will enable the correct tooling materials to be chosen and employed during the mould construction, the mould may need to be more than one piece depending upon the design of the product( flash lines, intricacy, undercuts, ect are things to give thought to) if the mould is to be more than one piece, then locators will be required on the flanges to ensure the mould section align. Composite Moulding is a process that starts off with the manufacture of a pattern also known as a plug or buck, this is a model made from Polyurethane foam, or MDF( Medium Density Fibreboard) or another material, this model will replicate the required product exactly, with regards to the dimensions and surface finish, once the pattern has be manufactured and prepared with the relevant release agents the mould can be manufactured from it, the mould can be male or female depending upon the design of the product. Now the mould has been manufactured and allowed to cure, the pattern can be removed from the mould, the use of compressed air or wedges may be required to break the seal between these parts, once the pattern has been released, the mould can be prepared with several coats of mould release wax, remember before you run the mould a coat of PVA( Poly Vinyl Alcohol) release agent is also good practice and will help the first product to release from the mould with out the risk of sticking. The polyester gel - coat is the coating that will provide the pre - coloured finish to the moulded component, the gel - coat is allowed to cure, but will remain tacky, the tacky finish, this is good will enable a good bond for the laminate, Once the gel - coat has cured, a layer of glass fibre is then applied to the back of the gel - coat, the layer of glass - fibre is then saturated with resin, the saturated glass - fibre is then rolled with a special roller, this is to remove any trapped air, and to consolidate the glass - fibres, more layers of glass - fibre can be applied and consolidated until the required thickness is achieved, the laminate is then left to harden and cure. Now the mould is prepared and ready to go to work, its time to go Composite Moulding, This starts with the mould being painted or sprayed with gel - coat of the desired colour. Once the laminate has cured, the product can be released from the mould, the product is normally left in the mould for twenty four hours, this ensures that the product has no imperfections, print through from, like the glass - fibre, shrinkage in the gel - coat ect, if there are, but remember any defects like the one' s just mentioned, these can all be rectified by a skilled operative.

Congratulations, you now have a small insight into Composite Moulding, a truly innovative process for manufacturing Composite components, and remember you probably see products every day made using this process, but you didn' t realise it, that was until now!

We Are Praising Chef' S Proficient Skills

Business, Business Services.

Taste bud dance on the top of knifepoint - "cooking is a lot like skiing. Laurent. It' s stressful, you must perform on the spot and know how to solve problems, " said the executive chef of the Canadian Embassy and of Cafe St.

I said that a good set of kitchen knife would be the best friend of the famous chef. - a good kitchen knife is the most valuable treasure and legend to chef. Chinese food culture was widespread in early days, and Chinese Kitchener culture also made the unforgettable influences. What started as a way to sustain his skiing aspirations - picking up shifts here and there at local diners and bakeries - later became a passion. There are different types of happiness and each dish which was made catering to that specific situation. Food should reflect a person' s mood.

When a fit handled in chef' s hand, it looks like a dancer who had the comfortable and beautiful dancing shoes, graceful as swan. - a kitchen knife is somehow companion rather than tool. Perhaps this is why the chef doesn' t have a favorite dish, but they did believe in simplicity: because they had the best partner in their kitchen, which can make countless food as per various people tastes. For almost chefs, real food should be about nourishment, and nothing is more nourishing than a healthy meal. All the chefs I' ve ever known are workaholics. For almost food, real chef should be about proficient skills, and a light hand with using knife is still a based standard for choosing a NO. 1 chef de kitchen.

A handsaw for cutting with the grain of the food will take the utmost food natural smell, prompt appetite. - neither thorough chef in 5stars hotel, nor ordinary persons who preferred cuisine, a pretty set, even house women of kitchen knife would be as the good gift for them to express warm - hearted caring. An excellent of a set of finesse kitchen knife would definitely satisfy the requirement of the expertise chef. We are praising chef' s proficient skills. Rows upon rows of seashell spoons, back with white cotton cloth, columns upon columns of various cooking utensils lightening by the flame, shiny knives are all in good order. Meanwhile, we are convinced by his tidy and clean team.

In any case, I feel refreshed and renewed. - if you' re in this business, chinese manufactures would give you the best choices. When you enjoy the delicious meal, please don' t forget to praise the chef clean and exquisite handing knife skills - let us remember to smile, in private if necessary. In the end, it' s all about sharing. Like a soccer coach looking to shake up the team for the new season who wanted to energy the players with fresh talent. When searching for suitable Kitchener which is fit for all kinds of food, in particular a set of suitable kitchen knife, we realized that the goods made in china are the right choice.

And the fit kitchen knife would do like the vanguard.
